We want every child to get the care & support they need to thrive.

Our Mission

We strive to create socially significant change in behavior by using applied behavior analysis (ABA) and working collaboratively with caregivers to create an individualized approach toward meaningful progress.

Our treatment method focuses on using the principles of ABA. We target communication, social skills, independent living, and motor skills. Our dynamic team will work with your family to create specific goals to help your child reach their highest potential.

What is Equanimity?

Equanimity is a state of psychological stability and composure that is undisturbed by the experience of or exposure to emotions, pain, or other phenomena that may cause others to lose the balance of their mind.

Our Foundation

Our founder Dr. Kelly knows the day-to-day life of having loved ones on the spectrum. Witnessing her nephew struggle with speech delays and feeding disorders; feeling the anguish of dealing with these disorders and not having access to the proper care. It was because of all the struggles and triumphs of the disorder, that she decided to create a company where love, compassion, and empathy are at the forefront of treatment. Furthermore, several of our therapists, and support staff themselves have loved ones who have autism. Knowing how much this diagnosis impacts the entire family is what built Equanimity Behavioral Services from the ground up. With a team of professionals who not only understand what you and your family are going through but who are experiencing and conquering the same struggles each day.

Our Commitment

We understand that a diagnosis oftentimes brings anxiety among parents and family members. It can bring on loneliness, depression, and high levels of stress as you worry about your child’s future and what their quality of life will be. Some people may not understand what you are going through and become distant, critical, and at times unsupportive. This is why at Equanimity, we do not just offer ABA. Instead, we offer a wholesome approach that includes ABA services as well as mental health counseling, family therapy, and psychological support to the children, families, and parents that we commit to work with. We aim to bring that mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper through the most difficult of situations, that is, “Equanimity”.
